Evelyn Peavy's APOC Alumni Newsletter

Mixed with the emotions, fatigue, and hustle of winding down after the Games, you probably remember that Evelyn Peavy was first to make a move to give us a way to stay in touch. She planned a newsletter, and asked that interested people contribute $5 to its upkeep.

I (Bill Price) followed her example by conceiving the web site you are currently visiting. Evelyn and I have done a bit of planning together, and hope to be more in tune in the future.

At the beginning of December (1996), Evelyn sent out a letter and questionnaire aimed at getting the newsletter going. This letter went to all APOCers, whether they had previously signed up with her or not. Here is the text of her letter, and an online form by which you can respond to Evelyn's questionnaire. I will forward responses to Evelyn.

APOC Alumni Newsletter
Questionnaire

Hey y'all!

Just thought those who have moved away from the South might enjoy a little down-home greeting.

In preparation for our first edition of the APOC Alumni Newsletter, which we hope to send out to everyone before New Year's, please fill out the following questionnaire. If you give us some interesting info, we may call you for more details and write a story about you. Even if you don't think you're doing anything interesting, we still want to know where you are and what you're doing. We're not just nosy - we're a great network!

I'm mailing this questionnaire to everybody, regardless of whether you expressed interest in receiving it. If you don't want it, don't send me $5.00. If you do want it, and you have not already sent me $5.00, please enclose your money with this completed questionnaire. Return the completed questionnaire to me by December 15 for inclusion in our first issue.

[The questionnaire is here in Evelyn's letter]

Thanks for answering those questions.

If you have not already submitted $5.00 to cover postage and other costs, plesae send it with your completed questionnaire.

Return by December 15 to:

See you in Sydney!
