F3 Summit on Community
April 8-9, 1999, Atlanta, Georgia  USA
"Building, Sustaining, and Celebrating Community"

WHAT IS IT?

  • Dynamic conversations creating true DIALOGUE, on topics created by the participants themselves
  • People who have PASSION for Building, Sustaining and Celebrating Community.
  • People from DIVERSE backgrounds, who have experienced community in many different ways.
  • People who feel Community in their SOUL, and see Community as a 'Soul Thing'.
  • People who come to CONNECT with people who are world-class at CONNECTING people into Communities.
  • A loosely-structured format based on Open Space Technology, which encourages open dialogue.

Diverse?  Dynamic?
Imagine the ideas that might be shared when people who have passion for community-building come together from diverse backgrounds such as:

  • Virtual Community
  • Intentional Community (living)
  • Governmental Community
  • Business Community
  • Non-Profit Community
  • Religious Community
  • Community of Interest
  • Community of Practice

The F3 Summit on Community  could address such issues as:

  • how to tap into natural communities and constituencies of interest
  • how to create communities in organizations
  • how to sustain communities through the power of connection
  • how to create passion for community in groups where there is no passion
  • how to effectively access wisdom and knowledge in communities
  • how to identify best practices and insights regarding the building of global communities
  • how to build virtual communities, and what virtual communities and physical communities can learn from each other

But it will be the passion and energy of the participants which decides the agenda.  This dialogue will never occur again; this experience will never occur again.

As the tenets of Open Space declare:

  • Whoever is there will be the right people
  • Whatever happens will be the right thing to have happened.

The F3 Summit on Community will enrich your life, and you will enrich the lives of others.   You will find Community, learn Community, dialogue on Community, and be Community.
