ning series from Walk Thru the Bible, is the best teacher/leader training package I've ever discovered. My fascination with it comes from many years of training and working in the field of Christian Education. It has the most concise, biblically oriented and practical application of principles for biblical teaching and leadership of any training event I have ever experienced.
When I was minister of Education at Northside UMC in
Atlanta, I attended the seminar, then took 25 people to a live seminar taught by Bruce
Wilkinson, and then we taught it ourselves to another 25 teachers and leaders. This, along
with several Walk Thru the Bible Old Testament Seminars, helped transformed our
educational ministry at Northside. Our program became truly Biblically founded in content
and in the spirit of teaching and within a few years our attendance in Sunday School
doubled.
The result was the necessity of building a $4.5 million educational addition which was
full within six months of moving in. So I am commited to this program for the
difference I have seen in its result as a pastor, as well as a teacher of the program.
You can, of course, buy the video series from Walk Thru the Bible to use at your discretion. I would, however, be happy to teach a "live" seminar at your church. We would neeration fee per person (minimum of 25). In addition, you would need to buy promotional materials - bulletin inserts ($5/100), brochures ($.50/each) and posters ($1/each). I would need an overhead projector, large screen or white wall that will enable overheads to be seen ($500 worth - they're really good!). P.A. if over 25 people, snacks as mentioned, and two to four people to oversee product tables.
If you
7 Laws of the Learner For example: The cost (as directed by WTB) is a $500
scheduling fee (which includes royalty payment to WTB) plus $17 regist choose to sponsor a seminar,
I would encourage you to open it to the community - these principles are applicable to
public school teaching, college teaching, and any arena for persons to be in teaching/
leadership ministry. A Ga. Tech chemistry professor attended at Northside and claimed that
it totally revolutinized his teaching. A few years later I met some of his students who
claimed he was the best professor they had at Ga. Tech. Please contact me for information: drgayle2@juno.com, or 770.827.4046
